Gloria Nelson Curran
Gloria Nelson Curran, 96, of Yazoo City passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at The Blake in Ridgeland.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 31 at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Curran was born Dec. 16, 1921 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Irvin and Mary Sinclair Nelson. She was a homemaker and a communicate of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Joseph Curran Sr.
She is survived by her children, Michael Curran (Katherine ) of Madison, Christopher Lydick (Walter) of Jackson, Suzanne Curran of Washington D.C., Joseph Curran of Vicksburg and Mary Curran (Michael) of El Cerrito, Calif.; grandchildren, Sterling Mills (Lee) of Yazoo City, Michael Curran lll (Whitney) of Jackson, Mary Louis Quinn (John) of Mountain Brook Ala., Christopher Hey (Craig) of Mountain Brook, Ala. and Walter Lydick lll of Los Angeles Calif., Zodie Waxman of El Cerrito, Calif. and Gloria Waxman of El Cerrito, Calif.
She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael James Curran lll, Lee Mills, John Michael Quinn, Craig Stephen Hey, Nolan Blande Pettigrew and Walter Edwin Lydick lll.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. William Puffer Thompson, Samuel Griffin Norquist, John Edward Taylor, Byron Alford Seward, Frank Alvin McGraw Michael Waxman.
