Tyler Davis, a junior at the Mississippi School of the Arts from Bentonia, received a Gold Key in the prestigious Regional Scholastic Creative Writing Competition.

Manchester Academy students Colby Allen Stevens and Cameron Robinson recently served as pages for the Mississippi Senate. Pages generally run errands for officials and senate staff. They were sponsored by State Sen. Buck Clarke.

Marie Thrash, 67, of Yazoo City passed away February 1, 2018 at Mississippi Baptist Memorial Medical Center in Jackson. 
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Susie M. Bull

Susie M. Bull passed away at age 88, on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at home in Benton. Susie was the daughter of J.E. Bull and Edna Broadfoot Bull. Susie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John E. Bull.
