Kyle Wallace died Wednesday morning doing what he did best. 

Satartia First Baptist Church is on the move when it comes to its Adopt-A-School program within the community. The church has adopted Bentonia Gibbs Elementary School and will be accepting uniform and school supply donations.

It had been a long hot day, and Bryan Thomas needed a little rest.
He turned on the television and laid across his bed. Maybe he’d take a shower later, or maybe he’d just wait until the morning before work...
Hours before he died, John Ellzey was almost asleep in his hospital bed when he overheard his friend Karen Dunaway mention the Manship House in a conversation with his sister Sandra. 
Suddenly, Ellzey spoke up.
The community has quite the treasure when it comes to the Yazoo City School of Dance. 
Parents of children with any type of disability may find useful information at a town hall meeting set for  Saturday Aug. 13 from 1-4 p.m. at the Community Complex auditorium on Canal Street.

Linda J. McElveen, 70, of Satartia (formerly of Jacksonville, Fla.) entered eternal peace at home surrounded by family on August 21, 2016, after a nine-month battle with breast cancer.
