On Sunday, Nov. 13 Santa came to visit your town of, Yazoo City.

Assistant Chief Andre Lloyd has been promoted to lead the department. 
The Mayor and Board of Alderman named Lloyd the new police chief to fill the vacancy that followed the recent resignation of former chief Jeff Curtis. 

The town Hall at Eden was heavily damaged by a large tree that was broken by strong winds around noon Monday.

Runners take off in the 5K race during the Yazoo Delta Half Marathon and 5K Saturday. The event raised funds  for the Preservation Yazoo Foundation, a group dedicated to preserving Yazoo’s historical district.
